Toy Story's Buggy Racer
This project took me almost 4-5 months of development. I created the Buggy Racer car in 2018 as a Modeling challenge and during my 1st masters degree, I came up with the idea to create some race tracks for that 3D model to race on. I first started with Andy's Room Dash which was a sprint race from one corner of andys room to the top of the bed. I re watched the movies to have enough information to be able to decorate Andy's room with due diligence and also to find more elements that would serve me as race barriers to put around the track. In the end, the race track was made with barriers and objects that can be found in Andys Room creating a sense of Intertwined realities between us playing the game, and Andy creating a race track for his own amusement.
Big Al's Raceway came from a similar effort. Adaptation of Toy Story's iconic places to entertaining and unexpected challenging race tracks. In this track, I've created a couple of general spaces that would be found in a toy store. I took screenshots from many of my favorite toy stores displaying toys and edited them in Photoshop to create the fully stacked shelves you see around the store. For me it was essential to still have the Barbie and Buzz Lightyear Isles to pay homage to the movie.
In this project you can find some of the video of the gameplay loop, some of the menu screens of the game and the documentation made for the track and level creation.
